Strategy remains an enigma for most companies. It is still too much a singular activity. Strategy should be collective, bottom-up, and ongoing. It should be based on a platform of shared principles, a shared passion, a shared vision, a shared purpose that goes beyond making money, and a technology platform that allows the organisation to be as ambidextrous as possible, allow for full-blown citizen development, and an optimal clock speed.

  • Roughly 60% of organisations fail to link budget decisions to strategy.
  • 85% of executives spend less than one hour per month on strategy.
